Cristina Cavalli, italiana, si diploma in Pianoforte e Musica da Camera nei Conservatori di Piacenza e Cesena, proseguendo poi il suo iter all’Accademia Incontri col Maestro di Imola.
Tra i musicisti sotto la cui guida ha intrapreso percorsi di perfezionamento e approfondimento i punti di riferimento importanti rimangono italiani: Sergio Fiorentino, Pier Narciso Masi e Marisa Somma.
Porta avanti un’attività concertistica che la vede frequentemente impegnata, come solista e in Musica da Camera, anche nel settore della Musica Contemporanea: diverse opere di compositori europei e americani sono e lei dedicate, e sovente le viene chiesto di tenere i first playing di nuove opere pianistiche (Londra, Shanghai, Milano, Helsinki, Belgrado, Roma).
Ha registrato per diversi canali radio-televisivi: Radio Belgrade, CCTV (canale televisivo nazionale cinese), Alfa TV (canale televisivo culturale finlandese), RaiSat 3, Radio Vaticana ed altre in Europa e Sud America. Il suo album Ritratti è stato premiato tra i Global Musical Awards di Los Angeles nel 2017.
Come solista si è esibita in importanti sale tra cui Shanghai Symphony Hall, Wuxi Grand Theatre and Shandong Grand Theatre (Jinan) in Cina, St. Martin in the Fields a Londra, Teatro Ateneo di Madrid, Teatro Ruskaija e Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma, Sala Verdi di Milano, e molte altre sale in Inghilterra, Olanda, Finlandia, Italia, Germania, Spagna, Serbia, Macedonia, Repubblica Ceca, Messico, Cina e Mongolia. Nel 2015 intraprende il suo primo tour di concerti e masterclass in Cina, debuttando con un recital solistico di grande successo alla Shanghai Symphony Hall.
E’ membro ufficiale di ECMTA (European Chambers Music Teachers’ Association, Helsinki), ILAMS (Ibero Latin American Music Society, Londra) e Honorary Advisor dell’ IIME (International Institute for Music Education – Hong Kong). Il suo ultimo lavoro discografico, Ritratti, è risultato tra i vincitori del Global Music Awards di Los Angeles, USA. Ha collaborato con varie Università in Europa, ultima delle quali la Facoltà di Musica dell’Università Alfonso X El Sabio (Madrid).
Nel 2020 le viene conferito il Premio Internazionale Cartagine 2.0 per la sezione Musica per meriti musicali e umani, questa la motivazione del premio: “Dedizione, perseveranza e generosità sono alcune delle caratteristiche che portano la sua Arte Pianistica ad essere acclamata nei vari tour in Europa e Asia come esponente della grande tradizione pianistica italiana. Ideatrice di progetti pedagogici, aiuta i musicisti ad una ricerca interiore e al rispetto dell’arte, alla ricerca dei valori e della nobiltà d’animo. In virtù dei meriti acquisiti rappresenta uno dei massimi e più noti esponenti in Italia e all’estero del Panorama Musicale, profondendo un grandissimo impegno nel processo di rafforzamento della democrazia, della cultura, della libertà, della sicurezza e della pace tra i popoli.”
Nel 2021 è stata premiata nella sua città natale come Italiana Benemerita nel Mondo, per la sua attività culturale e filantropica.
Ha dato masterclass in Europa, America e Asia ed è ideatrice e fondatrice del progetto musicale Ad Libitum.
Cristina vive attualmente a Madrid, dove insegna Pianoforte Principale per Alta Specializzazione e corsi superiori presso il Centro Superior Musical Arts Madrid.
Cristina Cavalli, Italian born, graduated in Piano and in Chamber Music with full marks; alongside her academic path she attended courses and masterclasses with notable musicians, among which most important to her were the Italians Sergio Fiorentino, Pier Narciso Masi and Marisa Somma. She continued her studies at the Accademia Incontri col Maestro of Imola, where she obtained the Master Diploma in Chamber Music. She appears frequently in concerts both as soloist and as chamber music partner, in a repertoire ranging from the 17th century to contemporary music. Her interest in this latter has enabled her to enrich her musical experience by taking part in important events; several works by European and American composers have been dedicated to her, and she is often asked to give the First Playing of new piano pieces (Milan, Shanghai, London, Helsinki, Belgrade, Rome among others). She has recorded for the TV channels RaiSat3 (Italian national cultural channel), Canale10 (Italy), CCTV (China), and the Finnish cultural channel Alfa TV; her performances have been broadcasted by Radio Vaticana, Radio Belgrade and many others.
As soloist and chamber musician she has appeared in important venues in Europe and Asia, and America, including Shanghai Symphony Hall, Sala Verdi of Milan, Auditorium Parco della Musica of Rome, Wuxi Grand Theatre and Shandong Grand Theatre (Jinan) in China, Zus Concert Hall of Prague, Teatro Ateneo of Madrid, St. Martin in the Fields in London, Auditorio Caja España of Léon and Teatro Ruskaja of Rome, always drawing success and great feeling with the audience. She performed in United Kingdom, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Serbia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Mexico, China and Inner Mongolia; in May 2015 she made her debut at Shanghai Symphony Hall, carrying on her first China Tour with concerts and masterclasses.
Ms Cavalli is an official member of ECMTA, European Chamber Music Teachers’ Association (Helsinki), ILAMS, Ibero Latin American Music Association (London), AIE, Asociación Interpretes Ejecutantes (Madrid) and she is also Honorary Advisor of IIME (International Institute for Music Education (Hong Kong). Parallel with traditional concert activities, she is constantly collaborating with other artists to creative projects in which music is combined and synthesized with different arts. In 2010 she presented Mediterraneo, a musical journey along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, starting from some Italian music suggestions and ending with Flamenco. Between 2012 and 2014 she ran the artistic direction of Chamber Music in Italy and Florestano in Roma music festivals. In 2017 her last piano album Ritratti (Portraits) was among winners of Global Music Awards (Los Angeles).
Last October 2020 she has been awarded with the Cartagine International Prize 2020, a prestigious International award, with the following statement: “Dedication, perseverance and generosity are some of the characteristics that lead her Piano Art to be acclaimed on various tours in Europe and Asia as an exponent of the great Italian piano tradition. Creator of pedagogical projects, she aims musicians in an inner search and respect for art, in search of values and nobility of soul. By virtue of the merits acquired, she represents one of the greatest and best-known exponents of the music panorama in Italy and abroad, making great efforts in the process of strengthening democracy, culture, freedom, security and peace among peoples.”
In 2021 she has been awarded publically in her hometown, Piacenza, for her cultural contribution in the world (Benemerita nel Mondo).
She has collaborated with several Universities in Europe, last of which the Alfonso X El Sabio University, Madrid. Cristina currently lives in Madrid where she is Piano Professor at the Centro Superior Musical Arts for High Specialization and Superior courses.
